We've been really pleased with it, I'd happily buy another when this one needs replacing. I have a 1.6 diesel and it's very economical.

Plus there's the two extra seats in the boot (when these are folded down into the boot floor the boot is massive!)

The front passenger airbag is switchable too, another reason we bought it, so a new baby can be next to the driver on the front seat. The seats all move backwards/forwards independently so you can jiggle them to make plugging in/out a bit easier.

We've had three in car seats in the back (that's why we bought it!) two in high backs and one in baby/toddler seat. I have a 56 plate grand scenic - we bought it when I was expecting number 3. admittedly they dont look fab from the outside but the drive/interior more than makes up for it! I drive a 2.2dci and can't recommend it enough. and its a lovely drive, so comfy, big armchair type seats. have had a high back booster each side and a maxi cosi tobi in the middle seat-and two adults in the back-back at the same time! all seats are removable, the head height is really high so if required it makes a great van. I fit 3 car seats in the back, no problem as each seat is separate. plus hidden compartments all over the car. another thing i love is the fact there are cigarette lighter/power sockets for each row (3 in total) which is handy.
#3 car seats across full size#
also the back-back two seats are full size and you could easily fit 7 adults with no compromise on leg room.with boot space too! mine also has the full panoramic retractable glass roof which makes it so light and airy. it has 3 separate seats in the back, each move independently, with seat back tables on front/passenger seat. I have a renault grand espace, slightly longer than the normal espace i believe. We only got rid of it as it was starting to cost us a bit of money to maintain it and we wanted something with a big boot knowing that our third baby was on the way. That was the only problem we had with it though, as I said I loved it. It didn't seem to be a problem when we traded it in for the Peugeot 5008 though. When it failed we lost the mileage reading, so when it was replaced we ended up with a 6 year old car with 0 miles on the clock! I had the most recent MOT certificate with the mileage recorded on it, but that was almost a year old when the dashboard failed. Without it you have nothing - no speedo etc. I think these Scenics had quite a lot of electrical problems though, the dashboard display failed on ours which is a common problem. You could fit 3 child seats though, I just had to slide the middle seat forward (all three seats slide about like the front ones in any car do). We used to have an 05 Renault Scenic, I loved it but the middle seat in the back was narrower than the outer two. I know the seats look the same, and the wing mirrors are exactly the same too! The boot is massive when not using the extra seats, it's a bit limited with the extra seats in use, but you can fit a Maclaren pushchair in still.ĭefinitely a good choice for fitting 3 child seats with ease, I believe the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso is basically the same car (Peugoet and Citroen are part of the same group).

It has two occasional seats that pull up out of the boot floor, they are fine for adults on shorter journeys and perfect for transporting extra children when you have all 3 seats in the middle row taken up by your own children. It does loads of mpg, and is a dream to drive. We have a 1.6 diesel version of the 5008. The only seat I have that does not allow 3 seats to be fitted at the same time is the Britax Evolva (this is a very wide Group 1-2-3 seat). I have had various combinations of car seats in there, infant carriers, forward-facing Group 1 seats and the Britax high-backed boosters. My two older children can fasten and unfasten their own seatbelts with ease, there is plenty of room to reach down to the buckles. Nobody has mentioned the Peugeot 5008 yet - I have one and I love it! I have 3 children, in the back I have two Britax Adventure high-backed boosters and a Britax Multi-Tech rear-facing Group 1 seat.
